I very much enjoyed this book. I was able to connect with the protagonist immediately, and I felt like the antagonist was accurately portrayed as the psychologically unbalanced psychopath that he was. The book was obviously well researched and I very much enjoyed the author's descriptive style that makes you feel as if you're actually inside the "scene."I also enjoyed the ending very much (don't worry, no spoiler)... I was relieved that loose ends were wrapped up, but without a stereotypicalTraces of KaraUnfortunately, I don't have much great to say about this book.I liked it, fine and it was certainly a page turner. I was interested enough in the characters to want to keep going. The most fascinating part of the story is the back story of when Kara/Marissa and her twin brother Roland were children, however there wasn't a whole lot of it. I needed more of the back story to be able to empathize with what was going on in the current situation. It was lacking suspense. The "who dun it"
Melissa Foster does it again! Traces of Kara is one action packed thrill ride from page one! I didn't want to put it down. I was left with a wanting to know what would happen next. This story is full of suspense, mystery, and a little thriller thrown in just to keep you on your toes. I love a good suspense novel and this one definitely fits the bill. Kara Knight is a very strong minded character who I felt refused to go down without a fight. As she is put through one traumatic abduction ride

When Melissa Foster asked me to read and review this new book she had just finished, "Traces of Kara", of course I JUMPED at the opportunity! I've read and reviewed her last three books, (ALL of her books, including this new one, are all stand-alone books) and they are all pure excellence! Now, having read this fourth book, it, too, is pure excellence! I LOVE her writing! I've been waiting (impatiently!) for this, her next book which is her fourth, which felt like forever between books this
I first became acquainted with Melissa Foster's writing when I won a copy of her book, Chasing Amanda. I read that book and loved it, so when the opportunity came to read this book and review it, I grabbed it!As other reviewers have stated, I had trouble putting this one down, and even when I had to, I found myself still thinking about it and wondering what was going to happen next. Melissa's writing just has a way of doing that to a person. It was one of the things I liked so much about Chasing
Kara's life is pretty much routine; school, work and home. After a failed relationship all Kara want is to get away from her small town and go to college. Kara whole world comes crashing down after Roland appears in town. Kara has no idea who Ronald is but Roland knows a lot about her and they may have more in common than she knows. Roland has loved Kara from a distance for years and he plans on showing her just how much. Roland appearance in town affects everyone in more ways than one. He wants
