Appraise Of Books Star Trek Cats: (Star Trek Book, Book About Cats)
The Original Series' cast in their feline form featured in some of the most iconic moments of the show. The feline cast is well selected and portray their roles to the best of their furry abilities.

The drawings were stunning, but I was expecting a story. Instead these were scenes from random episodes changing cats for the regular Trek characters. I almost deducted a star for that, but it isn't the illustrator's fault that I didn't read the product description more carefully. If I had, I would have had more realistic expectations. I purchased the Kindle Edition, which meant even using the Kindle Cloud Reader on my laptop, some of the captions were too small to read. I think I'll be adding

Enjoyable diversion. They did a good job picking cats who felt right for each of the characters. I was a bit disappointed that it was a series of one-offs rather than a story in its own right, but it was still fun to go through. Good gift for someone who likes both Star Trek and cats.

Star Trek Cats is exactly what the title promises. It's Star Trek scenes drawn with cats. It even contains an episode list so you know where the cat-ified scenes came from. It's the original Star Trek and not Next Generation, so no Picard (though I bet he would make a nice Sphinx)My favorite? Probably Scotty the Scottish Fold licking his bottle of Scottish Milk. Great pictures with lines from the classic series.

Ok so I actually liked this more than I expected to.The artwork is very good....also why do the cats actually LOOK like the human (or Vulcan) characters that they're representing? How did Sulu cat look so unimpressed with the dog-alien??Anyway! I finished it in under 5 minutes, since it's really a coffee table book.There was no plot, but it was fun to review some of the classic scenes from TOS and see how the author translated everyone into cat form.
