This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.Overall, I liked the book. It was fast-paced, and well focused on the plot and introducing the main characters of the story, without becoming cluttered with things such as romantic subplots (those can come later!) It also raised enough questions to pique my interest in reading more of the series. Two relatively minor sources of irritation: 1. In the aftermath of Syd's sudden hiatus, I was desperately seeking a paranormal fix!! And found just that in the first episode of the Nightshade Cases.
