*Amazon #1 Best Seller!* A tale of two wounded warriors, Chad and Josie, taken from the battlefields of Afghanistan to the toughest battle of their lives...recovery. They soon build a passionate bond so close even their scarred and broken bodies can't keep them apart. Only a soldier can truly understand another soldier, but as you follow their story, you get an inside look at what it's really like when soldiers come home. Josie is the first of her kind, an Army Ranger allowed to fight in direct combat. She's a tough Midwest farm girl who never quits, and she's earned the respect of her male Ranger counterparts. None of that matters now, though. She's just another wounded troop in a stateside military hospital trying to recover and get back to normal now. The tension between her and Chad is palpable, and the forbidden nature of their relationship irresistible. See how they handle their recovery...and their passions as the story unfolds!

Column About Books Scarred - An American Warrior's Tale
I am always a bit sad when there is no happy ever after (well my idea of happy ever after anyway), but I think this author did a great job ending this story for both Max and Josie and left a bit of mystery for the reader to write their own ending. How can a true reader not love that? I loved the connection between these two people and by the last chapter was asking for more. Maxs humor is everywhere in this book but he never lets a reader forget why they are reading about a military hero that

I think Scarred was the fastest story I ever read....couldn't put it down until I finished this AMAZING story. So loved it!!!! This story is about Men and Women fighting in a war and what they go through....Truly Emotional. I loved the connection between Max and Josie....A really Hot Sexy book. I can't wait to read more of their story. The Author did an awesome job writing this story. Great work!!

I was seriously enjoying this story. Written well until the H and H 'got it on". I am not a prude reading sex scenes. I enjoy well written ones. This was like porn. Two charactors I was expecting that their sexual enchounter would have some depth had anything but. Wow, I felt like the author wrote the lead up in engaging us in their story and then handed the writing of the sex scene to another much less adept writer. That was jarring. Will I read this author again? No.

I don't know what I was expecting from this story, but I did like it. It's a tear jerker for those susceptible but do be warned there is foul language used. Worth the read though.

I thought this book had the potential for a great love story, and even as I read to the end of the book I still thought that the idea for the plot was a good one; however, it just didn't come together for me.Josie and Chad "meet" in a vet hospital where both are being treated for major war injuries and become attracted to each other. As Josie's story was being told of her dream to be a female elite in the army and how she became a well-respected "warrior" in the armed forces, even being braver

I absolutely loved every minute of this book, Max has a way with words that you really don't know if you want to laugh, or swoon... Max has a very unique style that is fantastic to see... Once you read the same insert her here, tickle her there is gets really old. Scarred was the first book I have read by the author and I wasn't Disappointed at all.Scarred makes you sit up and really take note of what Our fine warriors and war heroes have to deal with every step of the way.Coming home broken and

What a great book, very well written. I really enjoyed following Josie and Chad's journey. It does break my heart the way our returning military are treated sometimes. This may not be the most glamorous of stories, but war/conflict never is. But it's a story that needs to be told. A definite must read!!
