Commentary About Books Haunted by Your Touch Anthology (Doomsday Brethren #3.5 Included)
A new world of fallen angels & demons by FrostYAY

Eh, kind of lame but at least it went by fast. I was ready and excited for a short bones and cat story from Frost but sadly, she did a fluffy little demon story instead...which was by far the best of the bunch. The other two stories were very predictable, even with characters and supernatural worlds I haven't read before to know the rules. Makes me cross both authors off my "should I check this writer out" list. I've been jonesing for a Jennifer crusie type romantic book...this was not it. Oh

I am a big fan of Jeaniene Frost. Her Cat & Bones series is one of my favorites. So her name on the cover was a good enough reason for me to try the anthology "Haunted by Your Touch." Her contribution, "Night's Darkest Embrace," is a departure from her usual vampire fare. This novella features a partial demon, Mara. She journeys to the demon realm of Nocturna to avenge the death of her cousin. But while she searches for answers, she crosses paths with Rafael, the leader of Nocturna. She has

A decent collection of short stories - the best one being Jeaniene Frost's without a doubt!Night's Darkest Embrace - Jeaniene Frost (4/5 Stars)An interesting universe that I would certainly enjoy reading more about in the future. Did anyone else notice that the back blurb of the book says "Raphael" yet the story itself has "Rafael?" Whoops! Either way, Night's Darkest Embrace was very well done - Rafael was sexy, Mara was snarky, and the chemisty HOT. My only complaint would be that Mara

4.5 stars for JF Nocturna world. "Night's Darkest Embrace". I thoroughly enjoyed this world of demons, angels, other realms and villains. It was well thought out, interesting, fast paced and didn't feel forced or rushed. Mara is a half demon, hell bent on revenge for the murder of her cousin Gloria. Rafael is the ruler of Nocturna, where Mara must travel to find answers to who, and why her cousin and her were kidnapped and Gloria eaten. Written in first person. I liked it a lot. Plot twists were

Decent anthology - Black's story is from her Doomsday Brethren series which I've given up reading so not a big draw for me. I think the other two are stand alones.
