Rendition In Favor Of Books Teddy Roosevelt: Young Rough Rider (Childhood of Famous Americans)

This is a great series. I learned many new things about Teddy Roosevelt and it was enjoyable reading it to e. Knowing about Teddy Roosevelt and some of his history as an adult I could see how different aspects of his childhood shaped who he would become. Although I enjoyed this book, I did not think it was as well-written as the book on Dwight D. Eisenhower. The last chapter jumped way ahead and it was a little confusing at first to understand what was happening (if it was for me, it would be more so for a child). The last chapter summarized Roosevelt's adulthood through a play performed by youth one hundred years later. It was a little awkward and I'm not quite sure that e grasped some of the important aspects of Roosevelt's career. I know the series is titled "Childhood of Famous Americans" but after learning about Roosevelt's childhood, I think it's important to have some information about his adult career. Like I said, this could have been handled better. However, I still recommend it! This might trigger someone's interest in Teddy Roosevelt and lead them to reading about him more.

This is a good children's book. I thought it was a bit overly dramatized, but I am also not a child. Maybe that is what it needs to catch their attention.

PT chose this with a christmas B&N gift card

I liked this book but it wasn't amazing it was ok. I liked how it was a book about lifetime. He married young at 22 that's really young. When he was young he had a passion for boxing.Which sucked because he got blind in one eye from one match. He would be a animal assassin too.Teddy roosevelt became the 26th president of the united states. In 1919 he died of a blood clot but will never be forgotten as one of the best presidents ever.
