Review originally from Heart Full of BooksI absolutely adore the tagline, Behind bars. For your entertainment. Its such an exciting premise! (Heres a plot summary: Martha has killed a high profile celebrity, and she will be tried in the Cells, where the public will vote over seven days whether or not they think shes guilty or innocent. But theres something she isnt mentioning and the people that love her and getting increasingly more concerned as it looks like the vote isnt going to save Martha.If I wasnt so aware of how books are often mostly ruined by being made into films, I would definitely want this as a film. I also feel like the film could have a different audience to the book. It could be a lot darker.At the start of the book, we are put at the crime scene, and its good that the book delves in deep right from the start. The whole of the book is filled with emotion that felt by the characters, as well as the emotions the reader will feel. Mostly anger and disappointment, but
Something a little different as this is a dystopian thriller with an emphasis on social media taking over the justice system. I must admit this one was an impulse buy based on the blurb, and I am pleased to have actually really enjoyed it. I read it in two sittings and found it a very easy and entertaining read which posed lots of ethical and moral questions to the reader.
