When Hunter Kittrell and his beautiful friend, Miki, arrive in Beaufort, NC, for their summer stay, they decide to liven up the small town by pulling a harmless prank. That "harmless prank," however, quickly finds them deeply entangled in a blood bath face-off with a knife-wielding serial killer.

As the usually peaceful town is drawn into chaos, Hunter and Miki find themselves pulled more deeply into the investigation, and it turns out their connections to the murders may not be as tenuous as they seemed at first. As the investigation continues, burning questions bubble to the surface: Why is Hunter being framed for the murder? And why are there mentions of his long-lost father popping up all over town?

Everything comes crashing down to a startling conclusion on Hunter's 21st birthday, when he's finally forced to confront the truths he's been running from all his life.

Evaluation About Books A Deeper Cut
I am perfectly flawed and I believe the best stories arent about perfect people. The best stories are about what happens when you back a flawed person into a corner. I like to unravel a character until I get at the story he really wants to tell me. The story might leave us a little grimy in the telling, but well find out just what hell risk everything for. Well find out whether hes willing to letOriginal review found at http://kristineandterri.blogspot.ca/2... * I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review* This book starts off with an introduction to Hunter and Miki. It was a little slow and I have to admit that I didn't fully understand their relationship and the way they interacted with each other. For a lack of a better description I found them a little robotic and stiff. Perhaps it was due to both of them being a little messed up. Hunter

A DEEPER CUT is an excellent story about a young man whose life is no longer the easy childhood he'd had. When Hunter brings his girlfriend Miki to visit his Granny Jen, his carefree summer is full of mystery and danger. Miki's life is damaged nearly beyond repair, and she seeks solace in anything she can find. Granny Jen takes Miki under her roof and cares for Miki like her own child, but Miki is confused and seeks the solace that only drugs can give her. Hunter struggles to understand Miki

Hunter Kitrell the main character makes an annual visit to his granny Jen as usual never expecting to find a childish prank with his best friend will leave him in jail facing murder charges and questions about the father he has never known come front and center in the the wake of a serial murderer suddenly on the loose in this sleepy tourist community.I wont give away the who dun it aspect of the book you need to read this and find out for yourself.this book gets more exciting and enthralling

Spending the summer at his grandmother's, Hunter was looking forward to just having some fun. It was his last summer as a college student before his career began and he had a new girlfriend. Miki had accompanied Hunter to the small, picturesque tourist town where his grandmother lived. She too would be starting her career soon and looked forward to the distraction. Neither expected the horror that began to take place not long after they arrived. Both Hunter and Miki were dealing with other

This book definitely took a while to get going. In the first few chapters, the dialogue was a little stiff and some of the scenes lacked a good bit of detail. The initial character development could've been much better, and the dialogue between the characters just never seems genuine. Many scenes lack important detail. For example, at one point Hunter is on the dock at night and the sheriff comes up, tells him to go home, and that's it. The scene wasn't foreshadowing anything, just a stand-alone

I could not possibly give this book the praise it deserves. I enjoyed every second of this book. It goes so much deeper than a murder mystery. There is love, loyalty, the will to survive, the want to succeed, and the need to find ones place in life all thrown at the reader, with all ties being brought together harmoniously in the end. One of the most satisfying endings to a book I have ever read. Haymore brings a number of characters together, all telling the same story and adding bits of their
