Narrative Toward Books The Victim (Mitchell's & O'Hara's #3)
Life is looking bleak for Frankie Mitchell - not only has she lost custody of her two children to their sadistic, gypsy-bred father, Jed O'Hara, she is also pregnant and banged up in Holloway awaiting trial for attempted murder.
In Frankie's absence, her father, underworld boss Eddie Mitchell, is determined to get his own back. He wants revenge not only for his daughter's imprisonment, but also for the death of his beloved wife, Jessica. Determined to get his grandchildren back home where they belong, Eddie plans the O'Haras demise slowly and precisely. But then he finds out a secret and learns the real reason why his daughter is in the slammer and all hell breaks loose.
Essex had never seen anything like the bloodbath that followed, but were either family actually capable of winning this long running feud, or would they all become the victims of their own past mistakes?

Wowza!Another amazing series by Kimberley Chambers. I often wonder how authors come up with the things they write about. Was it a place they visited that prompted them to write their story? Was it a lovely or not so lovely memory from their past? Was it something they daydreamed about? As much as I have tried I cannot grasp where this brilliant lady would come up with these storylines. My first exposure to Ms. Chambers was with her Butlers series that I read just about a year ago. At the time IDidn't enjoy as much as the others in the series , it was a bit samey, maybe I shouldn't read one after the other ! Was a bit disappointed with the ending . What happens to Georgie and Theo , for instance?
4.5 "Go Fuck Your Grandmother" Stars! Life is looking bleak for Frankie Mitchell Ain't that the truth. Jeez. What a fucking pickle ya got yourself into, Frankie!Jed. Seriously, such a wanker. "Who do these two-bob Irish tinkers think they are, eh? They ain't fit to clean the boots of us O'Haras." Yeah, Jed, you and your family are the fucking pillars of society. The O'Haras might be capable of breaking his arms and legs, but they would never break his spirit. EDDIE I really have to be very vague

I swear on your grandfathers grave, that one day I will get revenge for what the OHaras have done to this family. The third instalment of the Mitchell and OHaras trilogy. This time the prologue details that this is going to be a rough ride full of violence and revenge. It is now 1993 as the series races along. Chambers does give a brief overview in the opening chapters of how we got to where we are in the series. My advice is to read them in-order. I would say this is imperative.I will not go into
I have loved reading the Mitchell's / O'Hara books and this is the 3rd instalment. Kimberly writes very hard hitting gritty novels and this was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would seriously recommend!

4 stars. Left me wanting another installment of the series.
