Relation Supposing Books Unassimilated
Updated cover edition found here.Zoe Mousa thinks immigrating to the U.S. is her key to happiness. After arriving, she works hard to repay an emotional debt owed to Sarah and Jamileh, two Muslim sisters who provided love and family after her Jewish parents were murdered in Iran. Despite Zoe’s best efforts, their reunion is sidetracked when she uncovers an emerging cyber war.
Amidst the rising tensions, a young Christian professor takes a bold interest in Zoe, but he adds too many layers to her already complex life. When love and culture collide, her worst flaws surface. That’s when she realizes she’s not a victim of prejudice. She’s a perpetrator.
Immigration isn’t the solution to everything. Her unrealistic expectations melt away with time and maturity. “Why did I bother to come,” Zoe asks. In a world on fire, maybe America is nothing more than the last burning house on the block.

Definitely makes my top-five novels. I'm not the type of person to read with a yellow highlighter, but I certainly marked up my copy! I found this to be a warm bath of inspiring quotes and delicious moods. What an unexpected find.A plot comparable to Joseph Hellers, Catch 22; prose comparable to Michael Ondaatjes, The English Patient; characters as memorable as Lewis Carrolls, Alice in Wonderland. Few books are worth reading again, but Unassimilated is.
As an actor, my eyes light up when the written word rolls off my tongue. I found myself reading and re-reading certain paragraphs, just to taste the beautiful prose. Not all writing is meant to be spoken . . . but this is. It's art. It's a movie waiting to happen. I call dibs on the role of Saul Newman.

Ladies! You've got to read chapter 37. There were a lot of great chapters before that, but chapter 37 pounded my heart flat. One of those rare reads where you cry, laugh, learn, and expand your horizons. I've already started re-reading it.
Unassimilated by Michael Benzehabe takes you on a journey of sound and complex characters, political intrigue, and thrills that give you just enough of reality and imagination. Zoe, an Iranian Jew, desires nothing more than to find safety for herself and her two sisters in America. She insinuates her way to becoming a cyber-hacking spy in America to accomplish this task, putting those she loves as well as herself in harms way. Yet, she finds a home in America under disguise, and formulates a
When Zoe Mousa emigrates to the United States to begin a new life as an American citizen, her past follows her down a rabbit hole that opens up intense intercontinental danger and intrigue surrounding an impending cyber war. She has many obligations to some old friends who saved her life, however, and she must balance her dedication to her country, her past, her love, and her blood to reevaluate how "Judaism centered her, but Islam shielded her." Zehabe's novel Unassimilated is a surprisingly
