Representaion To Books Called to Life

How do I find fulfillment in life? How do I obtain happiness? Despite a multitude of self-help books in recent years, these eternal questions have become increasingly urgent in today’s directionless world.
Author Jacques Philippe provides some answers. In his new book, Called to Life, he explains that a complete and fulfilled life is much more assured when we stop trying to chart our own course, when we realize that we are essentially creatures called by God. He goes on to describe where and how these calls take place: the events of life, the Word of God in Scripture, and interior motions of the Holy Spirit. Learning to recognize and follow these calls is what leads to a happy and full life.
Called to Life includes a special section on how to read Sacred Scripture prayerfully (Lectio Divina).

Judgment Out Of Books Called to Life
The book felt like a a little paper that a student had to turn in for Systematic Theology class. I found it absolutely boring and I lost all patience. I could not finish.

Jacques Philippe was born into a Christian family on March 12, 1947 in Lorraine, France. After studying mathematics in college, he spent several years teaching and doing scientific research. In 1976, he met the then recently-founded Community of the Beatitudes and answered the Lords call to follow Him through this vocation (see below for more information on the Community of the Beatitudes). He

Enjoyed this much as I've enjoyed many of his other books. Short, easy to read, rich in content. Similar themes to "In the School of the Holy Spirit," which I also enjoyed.

This is a beautiful little book helpful in living the spiritual life. Fr. Philippe demonstrates how God calls us to live our vocation to and in life, that every instance is a call to life. I love the chapter on how God calls us through Scripture, using the prayerful practice of Lectio Divina. This little book is full of insight, but also easy to read.

If a lot of people read this book and others by Jacques Philippe, the world would be a lot happier place.

This is a book about our many calls and callings, the term meaning to name or designate, and to invite. These meanings are joined in the mystery of Christ beginning with the call to live expressed in creationalready, a call in Christ, followed by our baptismal call to follow and serve Him throughout life. Other calls, according to the author, Jacques Philippe, include specific interventions in ones lifethrough Scripture, lifes events, the movements of the Spirit, and the various media of grace,
