Relation To Books The Hollow (Sign of Seven #2)

For Fox, Caleb, Gage, and the other residents of Hawkins Hollow, the number seven portends doom - ever since, as boys, they freed a demon trapped for centuries when their blood spilled upon the Pagan Stone.

Their innocent bonding ritual led to seven days of madness, every seven years. And now, as the dreaded seventh month looms before them, the men can feel the storm brewing. Already they are plagued by visions of death and destruction. But this year they are better prepared, joined in their battle by three women who have come to the Hollow. Layla, Quinn, and Cybil are somehow connected to the demon, just as the men are connected to the force that trapped it.

Since that fateful day at the Pagan Stone, town lawyer Fox has been able to see into others' minds, a talent he shares with Layla. He must earn her trust, because their link will help fight the darkness that threatens to engulf the town. But Layla is having trouble coming to terms with her newfound ability - and with this intimate connection to Fox. She knows that once she opens her mind, she'll have no defense against the desire that threatens to consume them both...

Piece Out Of Books The Hollow (Sign of Seven #2)
This was a great second novel in Noras Sign of Seven trilogy. It built on really nicely from the first book, Blood Brothers, and focused on two characters I really, really liked Layla and Fox. Layla came to Hawkins Hollow on a whim leaving her comfortable, successful life in New York because of recurring nightmares that led her to this quaint, yet creepy, little Maryland town. Once she arrives in book one (not knowing what shes doing there) she meets the others Fox, Cal, Gage, Quinn, and

I re-read this trilogy constantly. The character relationships are so much fun! I always enjoy the detail that Ms. Roberts puts into her work, but I honestly feel as though I am there with this trilogy. Fox is just such a good guy (but a guy, haha!) and I admire Layla's spirit, even when she's unsure. Thank you, Nora Roberts!

#2 in the Sign of Seven TrilogyThis book picks up right where the first book left off, but this time focusing on Fox and Layla. With July approaching, the 6 friends try to find out more about the Seven, the main characters from hundreds of years ago, and what they can do to defeat the demon. Layla seems to be the demon's focus, perhaps because she was the most recent to join the group and is perceived as the weakest. But she and Fox have gotten romantically close now, so she definitely has

Nora Roberts knows how to write em!!!An excellent second book in the trilogy! I couldnt ask for better. Were taken back to Hawkins Hollow and its residents - good and bad. Some you love, some you love to hate. This book circled mostly around Layla and Fox - their relationship blossoms in this novel, and I loved how they got the feel of each other - thoughts and feelings. Working together, being together You get more of their backgrounds, what Fox was like as a kid and growing up. Layla gets to

As the second book in the Sign of Seven trilogy, The Hollow continues the battle against the Big Evil that started in Blood Brothers. It helps to read the 1st book before jumping into this one, but you don't really have to because NR does a good job recapping the previous events - and she does it without making it sound like info dumping.I'm not going to write a plot summary here because, quite frankly, the basic storyline of this book is similar to Blood Brothers's and I've already written a

My review of the first book in the trilogy is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Sooo, my comments from the previous book, about the demon not being fully explained, still stand. The book continues being very creepy, but nothing more than that. The characters are still not very well developed and Fox and Leila were ok, but - nothing to write home about. We are told about their amazing chemistry, but - honestly - Nora Roberts just can't seem to do it. Her sex scenes are full of
